Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will work with customers to design and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark internals.
• CI/CD for production deployments and MLOps knowledge.
• Ability to deliver technical projects with measurable outcomes and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects by delivering production‑grade systems and reference architectures.
• Design, build, and deploy end‑to‑end data and AI solutions for Databricks platform.
• Embed with customer teams and guide architecture, design decisions and adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Create accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts.
