Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own architecture and deliver end-to-end data/AI solutions for customers. You will lead design decisions, build reference architectures, and ensure secure, scalable implementations with customer empathy.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in data engineering or software or analytics, deep Spark experience, and proficiency in Python/Scala/JS across at least one cloud ecosystem. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience across two cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with depth in at least one.
• Extensive distributed computing with Apache Spark and runtime internals.
• CI/CD for production deployments.
• Hands-on MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures with ML/AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions by delivering reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Design and build end-to-end data and ML/AI applications.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Guide architecture decisions to ensure security and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to meet needs.
• Provide feedback to product and support teams for rapid issue resolution.
• Travel to customer sites up to 20% of the time.
