McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Dam Safety Engineer - FERC-IC to join our team. This role requires a PE license and 15+ years in civil/structural/geotechnical dam safety evaluations, including FERC Part 12D experience.

The position offers a fully remote option and flexible hours for the right candidate. You will lead dam safety analyses, client relationships, project management, and contribute to training and EAP exercises across federally-regulated hydro projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering; MS preferred.
• Active PE license in good standing required.
• 15+ years of engineering consulting with FERC Part 12D experience.
• Experience as FERC Independent Consultant or CDSE eligible.
• PMFA/L2RA facilitator on a FERC-regulated project or eligible.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state dam safety standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proposal development.
• Experience with AutoCAD, GeoStudio, AllPile, Rocscience, or HEC-RAS.

Responsabilités

• Perform dam safety work including FERC Part 12D inspections.
• Lead PFMA and L2RA workshops.
• Oversee hydrological, geotechnical, and structural evaluations of dams, embankments, dikes, and levees.
• Prepare and review dam safety reports and related documents.
• Manage clients, projects, and deliverables.
• Provide dam safety training and lead EAP exercises with clients.
• Conduct meetings and present findings to clients and regulators.
• Lead or support remedial designs for various dams.
• Mentor junior staff on dam safety topics.
• Market professional services, write proposals, and manage project scheduling.
• Assist in subcontractor selection for dam safety activities.
