Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Dam Safety Engineer – FERC IC to join our team remotely or in various locations across the United States. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE with over 15 years of experience in dam safety evaluations and engineering consulting. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, leading workshops, and managing projects.

Qualifications

• Active PE License in good standing is required.
• 15+ years of engineering consulting experience.
• Has completed the FERC-required Facilitator trainings.
• Previously performed the role of FERC-approved Independent Consultant.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dam safety work, including FERC Part 12D inspections.
• Lead PFMA and L2RA workshops.
• Write dam safety reports and manage projects.
• Conduct training and present findings to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff in dam safety.
