McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Dam Safety Engineer – FERC IC to join our team with a fully remote option for the right candidate. A PE license is required and 15+ years of dam safety experience, including FERC Part 12D, are essential.

You will lead dam safety evaluations, PFMA/L2RA workshops, and complex analyses of dams, embankments, and levees for federally regulated hydroelectric projects, while mentoring staff and managing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in good standing is required.
• 15+ years of engineering consulting experience including FERC Part 12D and dam safety work.
• Experience as FERC-approved Independent Consultant or CDSE is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state dam safety standards and guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including proposals.
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, GeoStudio, Rocscience, and HEC-RAS.

Responsabilités

• Perform dam safety work including FERC Part 12D inspections and CDSE type services.
• Lead PFMA and L2RA workshops and oversee hydrological, geotechnical, and structural analyses.
• Prepare dam safety reports such as DSSMRs, PSPs, EAPs, and STI docs.
• Manage clients, projects, and deliverables while maintaining relationships.
• Provide dam safety training and lead EAP exercises for clients.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development and proposals.
