GFT in Texas is seeking a Dam Engineer to lead mid-to-large scale projects in dam safety, hydraulics, and geotechnical areas. The role focuses on embankments, spillways, and related structures with strong client interaction and cross-team collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, and 8+ years of relevant experience; proficiency with HEC-RAS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HY-8, and EPA SWMM is preferred. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 8+ years of experience in civil, water resources, dam safety, or hydraulic engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, EPA SWMM.
• Knowledge of dam safety engineering principles, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and water resources design.

Responsabilités

• Design and analyze dam embankments and flood-control structures focusing on seepage, slope stability, and safety.
• Design and analyze reinforced concrete hydraulic structures like spillways and stilling basins.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic design for reservoirs and floodways, including dam-break analyses.
• Lead engineering assignments, develop design concepts, and coordinate across disciplines.
• Serve as Project Manager or Client Manager as needed and manage QA/QC reviews.
