Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years underwriting experience, strong writing and communication skills, and a background in financial analysis. Travel may be required as part of regional responsibilities and business development.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required.
• 3–7 years underwriting experience.
• Solid writing and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of financial analysis and accounting.
• Excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi task.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial and business analysis of client-companies and meet with C-suite executives to discuss operating and future performance.
• Negotiate coverage and layer participation for large Directors and Officers Liability insurance programs on publicly-traded companies including IPOs, SPACs, and M&A transactions.
• Assist in managing a renewal book of business while driving new business production growth.
• Maintain relationships with broker partners while working to expand production sources regionally.
• Work with Northwestern Region leads on regional budgeting and business development.
• Engage with the Claims, and Actuarial, Legal, and Marketing departments on an as-needed basis.
• Participate in internal projects to improve business processes regionally and countrywide.
• Maintain compliance with all internal, administrative, and underwriting guidelines, systems, and procedures.
