Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines or related commercial insurance
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. commercial insurance market
• Ability to assess complex risks and interpret data from multiple sources
• Established broker and client relationships; credibility at all levels
• Bachelor's degree preferred; AI awareness is a plus

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts, negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers
• Manage capacity and evaluate risk across a diverse book of business
• Ensure governance standards, guidelines, authority levels, and compliance
• Oversee accurate policy documentation, file maintenance, and admin processes
• Collaborate with Market Management, Claims, Operations and other teams
• Support acquisition of new business and retention of existing accounts
• Manage referrals from other underwriters and re-evaluate complex accounts
