Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join our Coronary Therapies R&D team in Maple Grove, MN. The role focuses on verification and validation of medical device software, with a strong emphasis on security testing and automation, and includes leadership of a six-person team.

Hybrid work requires in-office presence at Arbor Lakes Maple Grove at least three days per week.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline.
Five+ years’ professional experience with a bachelor’s, or three+ years with a master’s, delivering high-quality software.
Three+ years’ hands-on test automation experience and designing automated test suites.
Expert-level Python and ability to architect scalable frameworks and mentor others.
Technical leadership including leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee planning, design and execution of test strategies to meet project goals and regulatory standards.
Coordinate and prioritize test activities across projects and communicate objectives, timelines and deliverables.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced test engineers.
Develop, track and present test metrics, progress updates and quality reports to senior management.
Lead root cause analysis of test failures and drive continuous improvement with new tools and practices.
Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and represent the test team in audits and reviews.
