Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Sr Software Test Engineer (Cybersecurity) to join the Coronary Therapies R&D team in Maple Grove, MN, with a hybrid work model and a focus on software verification and validation for medical devices. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or minimum of three years’ relevant professional experience with a master’s degree, demonstrating consistent delivery of high‑quality software solutions.
• Minimum of three years’ hands‑on test automation experience, including designing, developing and executing automated test suites to improve efficiency.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Python, with the ability to architect scalable frameworks, optimize code for performance and mentor others on best practices.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, including leading cross‑functional teams, driving complex projects to completion, mentoring others and influencing technical direction to achieve measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, design and execution of test strategies to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and prioritize test activities across projects while facilitating communication among cross‑functional teams regarding objectives, timelines and deliverables.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced test engineers, supporting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
• Develop, track and present test metrics, progress updates and quality reports to senior management.
• Lead root cause analysis of test failures, coordinate resolutions and support continuous improvement through the evaluation of new tools and best practices.
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and compliance with applicable industry standards, and represent the test team in meetings, audits and reviews.
