Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and work on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role requires active TS clearance eligibility and a strong background in cybersecurity for defense systems.

The ideal candidate will develop security requirements, lead threat analyses, and craft risk mitigation plans for combat systems. Bachelors in Cybersecurity preferred; annual compensation ranges from $125,000 to $195,000.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor. Privileged users must achieve JPAS T-5/T-R with IT level-1 designation and complete OS/CE training within 6 months.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, military system specs, DoD IA policies for Land Based and afloat/tactical systems; ability to communicate clearly in written and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for multiple classification levels.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analyses and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.
• Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
