Job summary

SimVentions seeks a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team, seated 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. The role requires an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and Navy-focused security engineering experience.

You will develop cybersecurity requirements and policy standards for combat systems, conduct threat analyses, and lead groups to address emerging threats while ensuring DoD IA policy compliance and clear communications.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor. Privileged user requirements per JPAS if applicable.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies, and ability to communicate clearly in written and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination for DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts at multiple classifications.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessment analyses and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap/threat analyses, and system engineering work for combat systems.
• Develop MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
