Job summary

SimVentions, Inc seeks a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility is required to access classified programs.

You will develop cybersecurity requirements for combat systems, lead threat analyses, and guide risk-mitigation strategies across Navy platforms, ensuring policy alignment with DoD IA guidelines and program needs.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program-specific security engineering experience for Navy afloat/tactical systems OR ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• IAT Level II or higher DoD 8570.01 baseline certification (or successor). Privileged users must meet additional JPAS criteria.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, DoD IA policies, and military system specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research and coordination across multiple classification levels.
• Lead groups to develop cybersecurity strategies for emerging threats.
• Analyze policy gaps in cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT for combat systems.
• Design, analyze, and document cybersecurity systems for combat platforms.
• Create risk assessments and mitigation plans for cyber threats to combat systems.
• Document requirements, gap analyses, and threat analyses for cyber systems.
• Utilize MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
