Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join the team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required and US citizenship is mandatory for access to classified information.

The role emphasizes developing cyber requirements, risk assessments, and SBSE-style analyses for combat systems. The position offers an annual compensation range of $125,000–$195,000 (USD) and benefits including ESOP, 401(k), education assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of program-specific security engineering with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems, or ten years general security engineering.
• IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01 (or successor).
• Privileged users must have final adjudicated T-5/T-R with IT level-1 in JPAS and complete OS/CE training within six months.
• Strong understanding of DoD IA policies and military system specs; ability to communicate clearly in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Lead analysis and coordination for DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts across classifications.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessment analyses and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Create documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, and risk assessments for combat systems.
• Use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
