Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. This role focuses on cybersecurity requirements development, threat analysis, and system engineering for naval combat systems, with Top Secret clearance eligibility.

US citizenship is required for clearance. A Bachelor's in Cybersecurity is preferred, with 5–10 years in related programs, IAT II or higher, and DoD IA policy knowledge. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program-specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor.
• If performing as a Privileged User, must have final adjudicated T-5/T-R with IT level-1 designation in JPAS and complete OS/CE training within six months.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, military system specs, DoD IA policies for Land Based and afloat/tactical systems, with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis and coordination for multi-classification efforts.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Develop documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.
• Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
