Job summary

Rise8 is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure), automate security controls, and implement RMF-aligned practices across government-grade systems. The role focuses on container security, IaC-based provisioning, and Zero Trust integration in a fully remote, distributed setup.

You will collaborate with product and platform teams to ensure secure delivery, support incident response, and champion AI-augmented workflows to accelerate mission-ready deployments.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in cloud, cybersecurity, or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS GovCloud or Azure GCC High environments.
• Experience securing Kubernetes environments and container runtime protection.
• Familiarity with IaC tools and security configurations.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure) and apply native security controls.
• Automate control implementation and evidence collection per RMF.
• Provision and configure IT environments with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible).
• Deploy and maintain security measures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Collaborate with teams to integrate Zero Trust and RMF requirements.
