Job summary

Exp Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in the US. This role focuses on coordinating security requirements for classified and non-classified systems, implementing security designs, and complying with RMF/NIST standards across projects.

The candidate will develop security controls, oversee POA&M, and coordinate remediation timelines with stakeholders while maintaining secure configurations and testing approaches throughout design and deployment phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years RMF experience with DoD guidelines and RMF/NIST materials.
• Experience with cybersecurity engineering, solution development, or remediation.
• Specialized knowledge in security training/awareness, investigations, systems security administration, and network security controls.
• Experience with the RMF 6-Step process in DoD programs.
• DoD Directive 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers on design, implementation, and assessment of security requirements on classified and non-classified systems.
• Develop and implement designs and assess security controls in documentation.
• Execute cybersecurity best practices in design, construction, and commissioning phases using RMF per NIST.
• Oversee development and execution of POA&M.
• Document non-compliant controls and coordinate remediation timelines with stakeholders.
• Assist in configuring secure systems and test security products to detect weaknesses.
