Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead strategy, guide security controls, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to protect critical assets.

The role demands deep expertise in threat intelligence, incident response, and secure SDLC practices, with a track record of program leadership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in cybersecurity with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, and data protection.
• Oversee security controls for on-prem and cloud infrastructure with defense-in-depth.
• Own vulnerability management, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
• Collaborate with legal/compliance to ensure regulatory alignment and audit readiness.
• Mentor security engineers and analysts to foster continuous improvement.
