Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead security strategy, governance, and incident response while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The role requires extensive experience in security architecture, cloud security, and risk management, with a strong leadership presence and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS) and enterprise security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments including network, cloud, endpoint security and IAM.
• Architect and implement security controls for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments on technologies, systems, and software applications.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework with policies and standards.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with legal/compliance teams.
• Oversee integration of security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management).
• Ensure regulatory compliance across applicable standards (CCPA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
