Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a robust security architecture spanning on‑premises and cloud environments, aligned with business goals and regulatory needs.

You will lead risk assessments, govern security policies, oversee SIEM/IDS/IPS, and mentor engineers, working with legal, compliance, and IT teams to reduce risk and ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS.
• Experience with security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, encryption).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments across on-prem and cloud.
• Architect security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments of technologies and applications.
• Develop and maintain a cybersecurity governance framework.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategy and incident response.
