Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration BU is seeking a Staff Software Architect Engineer – Level 5 for an on-site role in Boulder, CO. You will design, develop, document and debug complex software systems within an IRAD team, collaborating with hardware engineers and other disciplines.

The position requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities, plus willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years experience, or Master's with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Software architecture and design experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Configuration management using Git, Bitbucket, and JIRA.
• Basic team leadership experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evolve processes to execute program goals.
• Define software baselines from Demonstration and I&T Plans.
• Perform gap and maturity analysis for software components.
• Lead development of new software systems in a complex environment.
• Manage integration of subsystems and vendors to achieve an overall system vision.
