Job summary
Peraton is hiring a Software/Data Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Software Data Engineer on our team, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements; review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements; and document test results.
You will also utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 19+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and other platforms.
- Strong Linux and Python background; understanding IT management and operations.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems from documented requirements.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document results.
- Utilize software development methodologies appropriate to the environment.
- Leverage COTS/GOTS in place of new development where suitable; analyze performance and propose improvements.
- Investigate problem areas by analyzing usage and work processes; coordinate with users or system engineers.
