Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber Software Engineer for on-site work in Honolulu, HI. The role focuses on developing secure software solutions, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with stringent security standards.

The position requires a STEM degree with ample related experience or a higher degree with fewer years, and current Top Secret/SCI (SAP) eligibility. On-site work with potential travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years' experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Must hold current TS/SCI clearance or be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation program; clearance maintained for employment.
• Able to obtain SAP clearance before start; SAP clearance required for continued employment.
• Extensive experience engineering and sustaining systems in cybersecure, regulated environments.
• Proficient with C++ and/or Java 21+; backend and frontend development.
• Experience with data flow technologies and networking (UDP/TCP).
• Experience with messaging brokers.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to national security threats across software domains.
• Design, develop, test, and document applications and systems with logical/mathematical solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in planning, design, and utilization of data processing systems.
• Analyze user needs and system capabilities; develop compilers and operating systems.
• Software development including scripting languages.
• Ensure software standards are met.
