SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is seeking a Sr. Service Desk Technician for our Lackland Air Force Base site in San Antonio, TX.

The role focuses on end-user IT support, including hardware, software, and network access, with emphasis on cybersecurity compliance and STIG guidelines. The candidate should have 5–8 years of Service Desk experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, proficiency in Windows OS, Office, and Active Directory, and familiarity with secure government networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of direct Service Desk experience; experience with classified networks is a plus.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Help Desk – Provide customer interface by supporting requirements, such as, network accounts, web browsing (Internet Explorer), e-mail (Outlook), word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), databases (Access), presentation (PowerPoint), photo editor, desktop publishing, scanning, writing to media, voicemail and services, equipment issues; support conferencing and Video Teleconference (VTC).
• Problem Resolution – Resolve and document problems using ticketing systems; escalate as needed; use priority matrix for responding to requests.
• Core HW and SW – Support for common user workstations and software.
• Build equipment per latest images and perform on-site installation at user desk.
• Remote Desktop Management – Support for remote control of end-user devices for analysis.
• MAB requests – Provide support for location changes of devices and apps; ensure port security.
• Information Systems Support – Support AFSCI, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, NSANet, and Tier networks.
• Systems Administration – Install, support, and maintain computer systems; respond to outages; implement security measures.
• IAVA/IAVB/TCNO and STIG compliance – Maintain systems according to guidance.
