Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a Sr. Service Desk Technician for the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (CCSD) at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. The role provides end-user IT support, maintains workstations, and ensures cybersecurity compliance through STIG implementation.

You will resolve issues via ticketing systems, support Windows and Office, and collaborate with a security-focused team to protect critical missions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
5–8 years of direct Service Desk experience.
Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
Active Directory administration experience.
Experience supporting classified networks is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Provide end-user IT support for hardware, software, network access, and enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues using ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Install, configure, and maintain workstations and enterprise networks with STIG compliance.
Support conferencing and Video Teleconference (VTC) setups.
Document problems and escalate appropriately using the priority matrix.
Assist with system administration and security preventive measures.
Support information systems such as AFSCI, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, NSANet, and Tier networks.
Plan responses to service outages and diagnose software/hardware failures.
Maintain STIG compliance across software and hardware.
