Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to advance its security program. This role leads the development of a strategic security architecture and collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and Development teams to strengthen the security posture of key systems.

The position requires a strong background in security architecture, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to guide senior stakeholders and mentor junior architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 years of cyber security experience.
• Or High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of cyber security experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and establishes a strategic cyber security architecture and vision aligned with Regions’ IT strategy.
• Provides advisory services to businesses and IT groups and to cyber security leadership.
• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and Application Development to enhance security posture.
• Designs cyber security architecture, evaluates risk, and approves production implementations.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and industry guidelines; tracks trends.
• Works with system owners to establish compliance standards and metrics.
• Ensures risk management practices and process improvements are applied.
• Provides consultative support on major business projects.
• Leads junior architects and develops their skills.
