Job summary

Regions Bank in Hoover, AL, is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to advance our cybersecurity program. You will develop strategic architecture standards, collaborate with IT and business teams, and lead complex projects to improve security across Regions’ systems.

The role requires advanced technical skills, stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to design secure systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on software development, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), or security architecture
• Or High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on software development, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), or security architecture

Responsibilities

• Develops and establishes a strategic cyber security architecture and strategic vision, including standards and frameworks aligned with Regions IT strategy
• Serves as cyber security subject-matter expert and provides advisory and consultative services to businesses and senior leadership
• Works closely with Enterprise Architecture and App Development to enhance security posture of systems
• Designs cyber security architecture, evaluates risk, and approves implementation of systems into production
• Collaborates with senior cyber security leadership to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and guidelines
• Collaborates with application and system owners to establish compliance standards and metrics
• Ensures compliance with risk management programs and applies disciplined change management practices
• Provides consultative services related to significant, complex business projects
• Leads the work of junior architects and develops skills and knowledge
