Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP is seeking a Senior Cyber Incident Response Attorney for a full-remote role based in the United States. The position focuses on leading incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents, guiding breach response, and advising clients through regulatory investigations.

The role requires 8+ years of legal experience with strong data privacy knowledge (HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR) and excellent research/writing skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Must be admitted to the bar in good standing.
• 8+ years of legal experience.
• 5+ years in data privacy and security, with breach/incident response focus.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, GDPR; IT background is a plus.
• Some litigation experience is a plus.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents.
• Oversee breach response work by associates and coordinate with clients and carriers.
• Interface with senior management and technical teams at client sites.
• Draft notices of data breaches to individuals and regulators.
• Advise clients on regulatory investigations and privacy compliance.
• Oversee forensics investigations and third-party e-discovery efforts.
• Draft privacy and security policies under HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR.
• Manage budgets and supervise junior team members.
