Job summary

BECU is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Manager to strengthen cybersecurity governance, oversight, and program maturity across the enterprise. You’ll translate frameworks into practical standards, drive second-line control oversight, and advance CCM and automation with AI and the Power Platform.

You’ll collaborate with Cybersecurity, Compliance, and technology teams to support regulatory examinations and improve risk reporting, while shaping a mature GRC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information security, computer science, or related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience or related IT/compliance/audit experience.
• Expertise using GRC frameworks and preparing for regulatory examinations (FFIEC, GLBA, PCI-DSS, SOX, NIST CSF).

Responsibilities

• Shape cybersecurity governance with leadership to evolve GRC programs, standards, and guidelines.
• Advance second-line oversight of the control framework and partner to identify gaps and remediation.
• Support cybersecurity regulatory readiness with stakeholders and regulatory bodies (NCUA, WA DFI).
• Translate frameworks into practical standards, controls, and operating practices.
• Build Continuous Control Monitoring and connect requirements with automated monitoring and reporting.
• Modernize GRC through automation, AI, and Power Platform capabilities.
• Strengthen cybersecurity maturity and drive remediation, ownership, and progress reporting.
• Influence across cybersecurity, technology, compliance, and architecture teams.
• Contribute to responsible AI governance and policy‑as‑code approaches.
• Evolve standards and guidelines to changing tech and regulatory needs, including PCI considerations.
• Share knowledge to improve stakeholder understanding of cybersecurity governance.
