Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks experienced claims professionals for the Specialized Claims team as Major Case Consultants or Senior Major Case Consultants. The role focuses on handling complex, high-severity claims with substantial legal and financial exposure, offering growth and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• JD degree or equivalent legal and claims experience preferred.
• Professional designations such as CPCU or AIC strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience managing complex, high-value insurance claims with significant exposure.
• Strong background in General Liability, E&S programs/Alternative Markets, or Cyber Claims.
• Expertise in negotiation, settlement strategies, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate, evaluate, and negotiate complex, high-severity claims.
• Analyze policy coverage, liability, damages, and exposure to develop handling strategies.
• Establish and maintain reserves based on exposure assessments and sound judgment.
• Develop litigation strategies with defense counsel and stakeholders.
• Manage complex coverage disputes, multi-jurisdictional litigation, and high-exposure claims.
• Mentor and guide other claims professionals on best practices.
