Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer in New Jersey to support import operations and ensure timely, accurate customs clearance for international shipments.

The role involves preparing and processing customs documentation, coordinating with government agencies, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. The ideal candidate has knowledge of import regulations and experience in freight forwarding or customs brokerage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience with customs procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Strong data entry accuracy and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process import/export documentation per regulations.
• Calculate duties and tariffs for shipments.
• Handle FDA (PGA) requirements and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain SOPs for consistent operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with the Customs Compliance Manager to align with latest regulations.
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely clearance.
• Organize and maintain records of customs documents.
• Track and coordinate shipments from origin to destination.
