Job summary

Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for a New Jersey-based role. You will prepare and file import entries with CBP, review documents, classify HTS, and ensure compliance across multi‑modal imports.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of customs brokerage experience, familiarity with ACE and CargoWise, and a BA/BS or equivalent. The position offers licensing support and a collaborative team in a full‑time capacity.

Qualifications

• Experience with HTS classification, valuation, and U.S. import regulations.
• Hands-on use of ACE and CargoWise or similar brokerage software.
• Familiarity with ISF, Incoterms, and PGA filing requirements.
• Experience with ocean, air, and/or truck imports.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transmit import entries (consumption, warehouse, in-bond) through ACE.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with CBP requirements.
• Monitor entries, respond to CBP notices, and perform post-entry corrections.
