Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Senior Customer Service Representative to respond to complex inquiries, provide quotes, and process orders. You will build strong customer relationships and guide junior staff while ensuring accurate deliveries and inventory coordination.

The position emphasizes negotiation, product knowledge, and exceptional communication, with opportunities to influence pricing within approved guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 5+ years of related experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong product knowledge and the ability to quote and negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Respond to complex customer inquiries and provide quotes and order entry.
• Place orders via phone, fax, email, or counter sales and manage timely processing.
• Influence gross profit through pricing within approved parameters and negotiate with customers.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and improve order accuracy and delivery.
• Adjust non-contract pricing when appropriate to meet customer needs while preserving margins.
• Coordinate with inventory to ensure product availability and timely shipments.
• Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Handle returns, select shipping methods, and resolve issues as they arise.
