Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to maintain strong customer relationships and translate requirements into internal actions. You will drive improvements to reduce quality claims and support APQP activities, PPAP, and QMS alignment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering, metallurgy, chemistry, or related technical field.
• Advanced quality certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green Belt) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong customer relationships by representing the organization in meetings and using portals for quality information.
• Drive improvements in customer satisfaction by reducing quality claims, remakes, scrap, and deviations from standard work.
• Interpret and communicate customer requirements from orders and specifications to internal stakeholders.
• Lead 8D investigations and communicate corrective actions to customers with timely closure.
• Develop and maintain CTQ/KCs and lead MSA improvements across processes.
• Support APQP activities and ensure alignment with AS9100 requirements.
• Coordinate and participate in customer audits and internal quality system activities.
