Job summary

Kovoro’s Wichita facility, a Tier 1 aerospace structures manufacturer, seeks a Quality Engineer to own quality on production programs. You will lead FAIRs, manage NCR dispositions, and drive corrective actions, plus perform supplier audits and support customer inspections.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in aerospace QE, strong AS9100/AS9102/RCCA knowledge, and GD&T/CMM skills; CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, RCCA methodologies.
• Experience with CMM programming and GD&T interpretation.
• ASQ CQE certification or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Job description

Our client is a Tier 1 aerospace structures manufacturer producing complex machined and sheet metal assemblies for a major commercial OEM and several defense prime contractors. Their Wichita facility operates under AS9100 Rev D certification and runs lean manufacturing cells supporting high-rate production programs.

As Quality Engineer you will serve as the primary quality authority on assigned production programs, leading FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) development, managing NCR disposition and root cause corrective action, performing supplier quality audits, and supporting customer source inspections. You will also lead internal AS9100 audit activities and drive continuous improvement using APQP and PFMEA tools.
