Job summary

Amplitude is seeking a Customer Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end technical delivery for enterprise implementations, from sales engagement through post-deployment validation. You will work directly in Amplitude's product codebase, shipping customer-specific solutions and building reusable patterns that accelerate future engagements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to turn customer needs into working software, thrive in ambiguity, and learn

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience owning customer-facing technical engagements end-to-end.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is expected.
• Ability to architect reusable technical solutions and mentor others.
• Autonomy across multiple concurrent engagements; capable of independent work.
• Experience shipping software in customer-facing contexts with tangible outcomes.
• Proficiency with reading, writing production code in diverse codebases.
• Fluency with data, event schemas, data pipelines, APIs, SDKs, integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise customer implementations end-to-end from engagement through post-deployment validation.
• Work directly in the product codebase; submit PRs and ship customer-specific solutions.
• Ship iteratively; gather feedback and improve approaches.
• Build reusable patterns and playbooks to accelerate future engagements.
• Provide actionable product feedback to influence the roadmap.
