Job summary

Amplitude is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer for the Enterprise Foundation, a team that builds core foundations like permissions, enterprise identity, and shared services. You will own end-to-end delivery, shape technical direction, and partner with product and design to create scalable, secure experiences for large customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and improving robust, scalable backends and developing interactive, user-facing applications.
• Understand the whole stack and flow of user-facing web applications.
• Backend experience with application backends, microservices, and high-throughput systems.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, authentication, authorization, permissions models, or other enterprise-grade platform capabilities.
• Track record of safely migrating and evolving critical systems with minimal customer impact.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, adapt well to changing requirements, and have a proven track record of successful delivery.
• Ability to synthesize customer input and architectural knowledge to create outsized engineering impact.
• Desire to learn and grow in web development.

Responsibilities

• Turn enterprise customer needs into well-scoped engineering solutions.
• Own end-to-end delivery of projects from design through rollout, migration, and ongoing operation.
• Design and build reliable services and APIs with attention to security and correctness.
• Participate in on-call, incident response, and long-term reliability efforts.
• Contribute to performance optimization and scaling efforts.
• Lead high-impact projects and guide the team’s technical direction.
• Mentor other engineers to help the team succeed.
