Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Sector – ARS PDCA division seeks a Senior Custom Order Engineer for our Fayetteville, NC facility. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical design, documentation support, and collaboration with production, customers, and field sales, onsite with relocation assistance available.

The Sr Customer Order Engineer will guide engineers, utilize design software, and manage interfaces to ensure equipment meets purchaser requirements and is shipped on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Two (2) years of experience with AutoCAD and/or other engineering and design software programs.

Responsibilities

• Consult with plant and field sales engineers to interpret new equipment applications.
• Develop complex drawings and bills-of-material with sufficient detail for purchasing.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
• Advise drafting/design, manufacturing and purchasing on information for production.
• Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve and release equipment for shipping.
• Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
• Demonstrate advanced software skills (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).
• Consult with Quality to resolve issues after shipment.
• Conduct special development projects of a complex nature.
• Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
• Provide technical training and seminars as required.
• Analyze needs and revise department policies and procedures.
