Job summary

Eaton’s Power Distribution and Controls Assemblies is hiring Product Engineers (COE) to support electrical and mechanical design and documentation for power distribution/product lines. Positions at Asheville, Fayetteville, Sumter, Greenwood, or El Paso with relocation assistance.

Role involves creating drawings, BOMs, and coordinating interfaces; requires a Engineering degree and internship/co-op experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum GPA 2.8 (not rounded).
Geographical relocation to Eaton facilities in the United States.
Minimum internship or co-op experience of 3 months.

Responsibilities

Consult with plant and field sales engineers to interpret new equipment applications.
Develop complex drawings and BOMs from established designs with sufficient detail.
Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
Advise on interpretation of information for production per purchaser's requirements.
Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve or release equipment for shipping.
Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
Utilize Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS.
Assist with quality issues post-shipment when required.
Lead special development projects and inform cost/cycle time improvements.
Provide technical training guidance and seminars as required.
