Job summary

Eaton's Power Distribution and Controls Assemblies business within the Electrical Sector is currently seeking Product Engineers to join our team. These positions can be based in one of our manufacturing locations in either Asheville, NC, Fayetteville, NC, Sumter, SC, Greenwood, SC, or El Paso, TX, and will offer relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or current student with graduation before July 2027.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 (no rounding).
• No immigration sponsorship; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT not supported.
• At least 3 months internship or co-op experience.
• Willing to relocate within the United States to Eaton facilities.

Responsibilities

• Consult with plant and field sales engineers to interpret new equipment applications.
• Develop complex drawings and BOMs with sufficient detail for procurement.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
• Advise teams in interpreting information for production per purchaser requirements.
• Manage purchaser onsite visits to approve/release equipment for shipping.
• Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
• Demonstrate advanced computer skills with Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS.
• Consult with Quality to resolve issues after shipment.
• Conduct special development projects of a complex nature.
• Inform cost and cycle time improvement activities.
• Conduct technical training and seminars as required.
• Analyze needs and revise Department Policies and Procedures.
