Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston seeks a Lead Custodian to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment. You will perform routine custodial tasks, open and close buildings, and support special events.

This role requires previous custodial experience, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and the ability to lead a small team while communicating with staff and administrators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience required.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close of an assigned building during normal working hours, special school functions and emergencies.
• Perform general cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning of furniture and restrooms.
• Move and rearrange furniture, clean halls and replenish supplies as scheduled/needed.
• Monitor and direct the work of custodians as required and communicate effectively with foreman and supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
