Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Lead Custodian for Spring Forest Middle School to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient campus for the 2026-2027 school year. Duties include routine custodial work, opening/closing the building, and coordinating with the Custodial Operations team.

The role requires prior custodial experience, the ability to work with administrators, staff and students, and physical stamina for floors, ladders, and heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak Basic English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Execute assignment changes to cover for absent staff.
• Communicate custodial supply needs and building concerns to foreman.
• Perform general cleaning including stripping/buffing floors, dusting, mopping and scrubbing.
• Move and rearrange furniture and set up cafeteria tables.
• Ensure building is locked and secured and report unsafe conditions.
