Job summary

Clear Creek ISD seeks a Lead Custodian at Brookwood Elementary in Houston to supervise campus custodial operations and maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficient building operations.

You will implement routine procedures, oversee staff, manage timecards, monitor inventory, and support district safety and energy programs while serving students and staff.

This role requires flexible scheduling, strong communication, and the ability to perform emergency repairs and minor maintenance as needed.

• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and direct the work of custodians at assigned campus.
• Help in the scheduling and training of custodians.
• Plan, oversee, and participate in all custodial work, maintaining high safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Monitor the timecards of all custodial employees.
• Maintain inventory and order custodial supplies from the operations department.
• Promote safety and security of the building.
• Support district energy management and IPM programs.
• Perform emergency repairs and minor repairs as needed.
• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Check daily exits and panic hardware during occupancy.
• Schedule and participate in custodial support of district/community events.
• Participate in safety drills as directed.
