Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Custodian III for the 2nd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) in Atlanta, GA. This regular, full-time role performs advanced custodial services and helps oversee routine housekeeping to keep facilities healthy, safe, and sanitary.

You will assign tasks, monitor cleanliness, manage supplies, and respond to service requests, collaborating with staff to maintain high standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
• Required Experience: Three to five years job related experience

Responsibilities

• Assign and inspect custodial/housekeeping work and related projects/activities to maintain unit/facility cleanliness levels and appearance
• Perform specialized cleaning operations necessary to ensure unit/facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner
• Maintain supply inventory necessary to successfully perform routine and detailed custodial services
• Respond to system-transmitted service requests
• Transport custodial employees to and from work assignments, as necessary
• Operate and/or maintain assigned power equipment related to custodial services, as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
