Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced CUCM engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise voice solutions across a multi-site environment in the Washington DC area. You will manage CUCM, Unity Connection, SIP trunks, and voice gateways end to end.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on CUCM experience, Cisco certifications (CCNA-VOICE, CCNP, CCIE preferred), strong security awareness, and the ability to mentor junior staff. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a SECRET clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of expertise with CUCM in large enterprise environments.
• 7 years’ experience with CUCM; Versions 14 or 15 preferable.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco voice gateways (VG410, 420, 450).
• Knowledge of CUCM best practices and security (TLS, SRTP, certificates).
• Senior-level knowledge of Call Manager, Unity Connection, SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, and call routing.
• Familiarity with third-party integration (Microsoft Teams).
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS routers, switching, and CUBE/SBC.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; SECRET clearance eligibility; pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise voice solutions including CUCM, Unity Connection, Emergency Responder, and VoIP endpoints.
• Configure and support CUCM clusters, voice gateways, and endpoints in a multi-site environment.
• Configure SIP trunks for call routing among sites and PSTN.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, including advanced troubleshooting of complex voice issues.
• Monitor CUCM cluster health and document issues with corrective actions.
• Lead enterprise voice projects and migrations; technology refreshes and deployments.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to ensure CUCM security and compliance.
• Research, investigate, and resolve voice incidents and outages; provide status updates via incident-management systems.
