Job summary

Lead Critical Infrastructure Controls Engineer at JLL in Goleta, CA, on-site position overseeing building automation across multiple campuses. The role requires 5–7 years of experience, strong programming and troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with BACnet/JCI/ALC protocols within a Windows Server environment.

Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of experience in relevant field.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems in commercial buildings.
• Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficient in programming and troubleshooting complex building automation systems.
• Proficient in administering systems within a Windows Server environment.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations related to building automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the controls systems architecture for critical infrastructure across multiple campuses to ensure design consistency.
• Manage onsite Controls Engineer and associated vendors.
• Respond to critical building and lab infrastructure emergencies following SLAs.
• Collaborate with Engineering Team to assist in design and implement building automation.
• Collaborate with JLL IOT and BOS Teams on projects and remediations.
• Develop and run root-cause analyses on failures and system issues.
• Monitor and dispatch alarms to critical areas and equipment.
• Generate reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
