Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related facilities engineering with relevant controls experience
• 8+ years of experience in facilities HVAC and control systems
• Experience with HVAC building automation systems, including development and/or review of operating sequences for equipment and systems
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
• Demonstrated experience in HVAC engineering fundamentals, including trend analysis
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Conduct design reviews for infrastructure and tenant improvement HVAC controls projects to ensure compliance with standards, guidelines, best practices, and stakeholder expectations
• Perform technical review of control sequences of operation, program logic, and associated functional performance test plans
• Conduct field inspections throughout project implementation to verify scope, best practices, and identify risks or deviations
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely resolution plans for deficiencies within the schedule
• Perform controls program clipping to transition new control systems onto in-operations servers
• Evaluate operating trends and alarms to validate control system performance against design
• Support mechanical engineering with controls guidance as appropriate
• Identify process deficiencies and implement improvements
• Maintain internal records and QA/QC processes
• Prepare and present reports to stakeholders to drive solutions
• Represent client on project team to ensure stakeholder requirements are addressed
• Recommend new processes and improvements demonstrating continuous improvement
• Coordinate engineering resources to meet program expectations
• Provide SME input to ensure high quality value to client
• Own assigned projects and drive solutions to closure
• Manage projects related to engineering or controls work
