Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an Underwriter on the Global Commercial Banking credit team. You will underwrite loans and related credit exposure for a portfolio of middle market companies across industries with revenues from $50 million to $2 billion in the Dallas and Houston markets, as well as Clayton, MO.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 3 to 10 years of Commercial Banking underwriting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement analysis and modeling.
• Solid foundation in credit analysis and risk evaluation.
• Understanding of credit documentation (term sheets, credit agreements, security).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to juggle multiple transactions and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Partner with credit teammates and product teams to develop strategic debt financing solutions.
• Structure bilateral and syndicated loans aligned with client needs and risk parameters.
• Analyze credit exposure for treasury, rates and FX products.
• Perform due diligence and dynamic risk assessments of borrowers and transactions.
• Create credit approval packages and manage the approval process.
• Model cash flows and repayment scenarios with sensitivity analyses.
• Develop enterprise value, pricing and risk rating analyses.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
• Exercise approval authority for certain credit actions.
• Present opportunities to credit and risk leadership.
• Collaborate with legal teams to finalize loan documentation.
• Oversee quarterly monitoring and regulatory requirements.
