Job summary

Enterprise Bank & Trust seeks a VP, Senior Credit Analyst to underwrite complex commercial loans secured by real estate, receivables, inventory or assets. You will perform detailed financial analysis, collateral evaluation and risk assessment, and support lending teams across multiple transactions.

You will mentor junior staff, participate in loan committees, ensure compliance with covenants and provide analytical leadership in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial credit involving complex transactions.
• Experience in asset-based lending required both in underwriting and monitoring.
• Underwriting will include financial analysis with a concentration on cash flow, collateral evaluation and an overall review of the request.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial loan transactions, including CRE, C&I, leveraged finance, and tax credits.
• Clearly communicate with internal and external customers.
• Work with others to produce needed outcomes and meet deadlines.
• Complete follow-up analysis on financial statements and borrowing base history.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions and competition.
• Ensure credit-related follow-up items are reflected on follow-up systems.
• Provide support to lending officers in structuring and analyzing potential transactions.
• Partner with lending units to oversee future loan maturities and current pipeline.
• Be an active participant in weekly loan committee meetings as a representative of Credit Department.
• Assist the Credit Manager in mentoring junior credit associates.
• Accompany Relationship Managers on customer calls and client meetings.
