Job summary

Merrick Bank, headquartered in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Risk Oversight to support the Bank’s second line of defense. You will monitor portfolio performance, produce risk reporting, and help drive informed risk management decisions.

The role involves coordinating quarterly oversight, developing data-driven insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remote or hybrid work options apply with onsite expectations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or quantitative discipline is required.
• Master’s degree (MBA, Economics, Statistics or related field) is preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in credit risk, consumer lending, portfolio analytics, financial analysis, or related analytical risk disciplines.
• Experience developing performance reporting, portfolio monitoring, or credit risk analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consumer lending portfolio performance and key risk indicators.
• Coordinate quarterly Credit Oversight Report and materials for management.
• Support independent assessment of portfolio risk and CECL forecasts.
• Develop dashboards and frameworks to assess portfolio health.
• Perform analytical reviews of assumptions and performance drivers.
• Collaborate across first- and second-line functions for risk oversight.
